Election Day

Today is election day. Schools all over Michigan want more money.

Remember, bad results are a sign that they need more money.

It's for the children!

UPDATE:

The KRESA millage appears to have narrowly failed.

Several good conservatives won school board and library board races.

Nah, instead we should vote for school vouchers. That way the state can pay for private school tuition and we can see our taxes go up even further!

at least our kids would get an education that way

The blue hairs who line up at 5 a.m. to vote down school elections won't care about that. They just don't want to have their taxes go up.

Although many of them don't realize that if you live in a good school district, your property value will be higher.

Our taxes will go up because of vouchers? Wow, and here I thought competition lead to lower prices. I guess with all those schools having accountability to their customers (the students) for once, instead of just accountability to paying off politicians with union dues, somehow we'll be worse off?

I just wanna make sure I'm understanding you correctly.

Matt, go look at the city of Milwauke. They have vouchers and their taxes have sky rocketed because of it.

Let's look at the logic here...if needing more money come from bad results, then the war in Iraq has produced nothing but bad results. I'm sure consistency across policies is not something this blog is interested in though.
