POLITICAL UPDATE--Immigration

This update focuses on immigration. The immigration debate continues on the campaign trail and in Congress. The Senate recently defeated one amnesty (the DREAM Act), and briefly considered another (the AgJobs bill). New York Governor Elliot Spitzer recently ordered that illegal aliens receive drivers licences, and Hillary Clinton offered support for this plan. Cultural decline is both a cause and effect of immigration.
