So let me get this straight. Greg Franke, "a former military linguist in psychological operations, specializing in Russian," who "is currently working on a book project detailing the Cold War-era hockey rivalry between Canada and the Soviet Union" is somehow an expert on the state of healthcare in America? This is right up there with all of the creationists who argue against science and who, for whatever reason, do not even hold degrees in the subject. Now, I know you are thinking that we cannot trust scientists to be critical of science just as we cannot trust public schools to teach about government. How about you link to some actual studies of the matter and not to the same ravenous pundits on Human Events?
Mr. Franke cites studies by the Congressional Budget Office, Cato Institute, Rand Corporation, and a book by David Broder. Look them up before accusing him of not knowing his subject.
Cato is a decidedly partisan institution whose work must be taken with a grain of salt, which I am sure you would be more than willing to do were anyone to cite liberal think tanks. Why do you never link to studies published in peer reviewed journals? Why is it always pundits on Human Events and a few other conservative websites? That was my point.
